Signs of hope

The BBC adopted new standards for science reporting; instead of the rigid (and stupid) "he said/she said" lazy reporting: BBC Institutes Changes to Prevent "False Balance" in Science Reporting. I find this most encouraging: "The [BBC] Trust wishes to emphasise the importance of attempting to establish where the weight of scientific agreement may be found and make that clear to audiences."

Along the same vein, this video is very interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYZE5900EBA

I’ve published on a related subject (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0277953612004443), and I have an upcoming paper, co-authored with another colleague from the AJPH, dealing with this issue.

Stay tuned!
