“Europe regressed a decade in the fight against diseases such as
measles and rubella, nearly eradicated at the turn of the century and
that now are again causing large community outbreaks. Spain, that had
only two cases of measles in 2004, accumulated more than 1,300 in the
current year, five times more than all 2010. This rebound has put
sanitary authorities all over the continet on guard: in France, for
instance, six people have died and more than 300 have suffered severe
pneumonia among the more than 5,000 affected.” This insanity has to stop.
